Hi there !
Hi this is Susrita Samantaray. I'm a M.Tech Biotechnology student from India. I believe in simplifying the communication between art and science. My inspiration for my work is the miracle of life. Susritart is born out of a combination of my education, my passion & hobby, which allows my perspective as an artist to beautify the nature & surrounding, minutely. I make myself lost in the patterns and details and hence art is my ultimate healing
"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time"
THIS PROJECT IS BASED ON SOME OF THE MAJOR TEMPLES AND MONUMENTS OF ODISHA IN FORM OF INTRICATE MICRO ART
Big series is purely a desire to promote Odisha's Tourism by bringing forth beautiful temples, monuments and heritage spots through my pen work. Also, the wish is to break away from the basics and involve into more experimental works and develop my own form of patterns to these sites, which involves creativity and consumes a lot of time
Representing the proud of #Odisha - #konarktemple in form of my Art. I've been wishing to do this since two years, but finally got time to do it within 1week!😊 I didn't use any scale or geometry instruments for it.. just the rough pen work! Though actual beauty and the craftwork of #suntemple can't be exactly done through my art..still I tried my own form for #odishatourism
Finally after 1 month of hardwork and endless without sleep.. releasing my Microart patterned Bigseries 2.0- #mukteswartemple of Bhubaneswar! I didn't use any scale or geometry instruments for it, just like Konark 1.0
Proud to promote for #odishatourism
PURI JAGANNATH TEMPLE
Finally, after 2months, My Bigseries 3.0 #jagannathtemple microart is completed! Come to Puri of Odisha and seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath and his siblings on the occasion of Pavitra Rath Jatra ! JAI JAGANNATH #odishatourism
DHAULI SHANTI STUPA
Presenting my Microart Bigseries 4.0 #shantistupa (Peace Pagoda) at Dhauligiri as #inktober special which took me 2months! Promoting my Odisha..my state's rich culture and beauty.. Detailing and new patterns really took a lot of time.. but happy with the result! #odishatourism
On My Birthday, Presenting Microart Bigseries 6.0 #kichakeswari temple at Khiching in Mayurbhanj District of Odisha. It is India's only temple built with Black Chlorite Slab. Besides this 8th century temple of Goddess Kichakeswari, Khiching museum is also present which is 2nd oldest museum of Odisha!
Finally after spending 20 nights, finished this MicroArt!! #odishatourism
GHATAGAON TARINI TEMPLE
Presenting Microart Bigseries 7.0 #Tarinitemple at Ghatagaon in the district of Keonjhar of Odisha.
It took me around 12 days to complete it ! The intricate and geometry are always challenging as I don't use scale for it.😅
The WHOLE MAKING of this Bigseries is available in my YouTube Channel- Susritart
This project is based on Representing different culture, nature and scenarios of odisha in form of my 'micro art'

Besides promoting for #odishatourism, I'm also working on Scientific Illustrations. These illustrations involve some of the complicated Microart patterns to justify these creatures of the world..
Fusing Biology with Microart to define a different form of Scientific Illustration! This is a Microart of Aspergillus, which is a type of Fungus with Spores. I have added my tune of designs to prominently show its beautiful structure and parts
Another sea creature to my collection.. I found Jelly fish as a good subject for illustrative art. The detailing for this piece, really took a lot time. Still, I enjoyed drawing this one!
Black Sea Urchin
Sea creatures always fascinate me. So, I choose this Black Sea Urchin for my next hand-drawn Sci-art collection! I used different grades of Grey Shades to give it an original look. Source of the actual image is from whatsthatfish.com
The Ground Beetle
This Ground beetle, belonging to the family of Carabidae, is my recent illustration. The purpose of selecting this beetle is because to get rid of my entomophobia. I wanted to experience the aesthetic beauty of nature!
The Viral transfer of DNA from one cell to another
Hand-drawn pen version illustration of the actual microscopic image of viral transfer of DNA from one cell to another. Source of the actual microscopic image is from Molecular Biology of the cell by Alberts et.al
Though this mandala art does't belong to 2018, yet I want to keep it for now in order to remind me to keep on doing other pattern works too, besides Sci-art ;)
